Blowing Springs Trail Update (Bella Vista, AR)

We have been at it for 3 weeks now and have cut over 8000 feet by machine and 1500 feet by hand. We have carved trail through moss-laden bluff lines, deep valley’s, past old homesteads and cemeteries. This place is truly special. It reminds us of the trails and building days of our earlier years–the quintessential Ozark trail experience. After a year of building more specialized trail projects (i.e. flow tracks, bike parks, park renovations), it is nice to get back to the roots of trailbuilding. Just good ol’ fashion Arkansas Singletrack!

Do you think that Phase 2 with be done by spring of 2012? I visiting family druing that time and plan on doing alot of riding in the area

Right now we are working on Phase 1- approx. 2.5 miles.
Phase 2 will be another 2.5-3 miles, making the trail system around 5+ miles.
Phase 1 should be unofficially open by mid April.
